Interview with the Finnish representative

How do you feel about the upcoming ECG Finals?
Faroni Cosplay : I have been following this competition for many years now and I’ve always wanted to be a part of it. I’m very proud to be representing my country, Finland. This is a dream come true and I can’t wait to meet my fellow contestants in Japan Expo. Paris here I come! 

Why did you choose this character for the selections?
Faroni Cosplay : I chose Doctor Strange, because I fell in love with the character design and I also wanted to challenge myself. The costume has many small details and I had to make them all from scratch. I love using different materials and techniques when making my costumes. This cosplay has been a journey and I’ve learned new things during that.

Which part of your costume are you the proudest of?
Faroni Cosplay : Well this is a hard question to answer.. During the process of making the costume you may develop a love-hate relationship with it… as I did. So it is hard to choose just one particular part of the costume to be proud of. But if I had to choose one, it would be the cloak of levitation. The cloak was the trickiest part and I put some extra effort to it. 

Can you give us a hint about what you’re planning to do for the Finals?
Faroni Cosplay : I’ll tell you this: There will be strange days ahead!
