ECG Wildcard: welcoming new countries
The European Cosplay Gathering is launching a new concept: from Season 9 (2018 – 2019), the ECG will welcome a new country as the "ECG Wildcard" every year!

A new country will be invited to be part of the ECG every year (though not of the contest) during the finals at Japan Expo.
The ECG Wildcard is not limited to Europe and any country may apply to be the ECG’s guest. This new concept will reinforce the ideas of exchange and meeting that are part of cosplay, allowing different communities to get together.
